Day
Rides At Golden Trout Wilderness Packtrains,
our Day Rides start at 9:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. You will
be accompanied by an experienced guide and will see some unforgettable
scenery. We can take you to our favorite water slides and swimming holes.
Take a trip to see the George Bush Sequoia Tree at Freeman Grove. If
you are an Ansel Adams at heart, we can take you up to Jordan Peak and
look out over the scenic Sierra Nevada. For safety reasons, we require
children be at least six years old. We're sorry, but we can't have kids
riding on the same horse with mom or dad.
Two
Hour Ride
This is a good length of time for the
"never-ever-been-on-a-horse" beginner, or if you haven't been riding
for awhile. The First ride leaves the Station at 9:00 a.m. and will
return at 11:00 a.m. The second ride leaves the Station at 1:00 p.m.
and will return at 3:00 p.m. Your guide will take you around a beautiful
mountain meadow and back to the Lodge before you get a chance to get
tired. Call (559) 542-2816 for current rates

Whole Day Ride
This ride leaves the pack station at 9:00 a.m. and you'll be returning
about 3:00 p.m. This is a perfect outing if you'd like to ride to
the river and play around in the water or go fishing for awhile. We
know some very secluded swimming holes and the coolest water slides
around. Or, if you prefer to see The Giant Sequoias, we'll take you
to the George Bush tree at Freeman Grove. You'll be accompanied by
an experienced guide and your equipment (fishing pole, picnic lunch,
bathing suit, etc.) will be packed in by a friendly mule. Call
